Step 1: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Step 2: Beat butter until light, slowly incorporate sugar, beat until fluffy.
Step 3: Add vanilla.
Step 4: Sift flour and cornstarch together and incorporate into butter mixture in 3 additions.
Step 5: Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheet lined with parchment.
Step 6: Press with a fork dipped in confectioners’ sugar.
Step 7: Bake 20-22 minutes, do not brown.
