Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 200 grams dry long-grain white rice (dry 1 1/3 cup)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cups water, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup granulated sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add rice, 2 cups water, cinnamon sticks to a blender and blend until rice is roughly ground.

  • Step 2: Add remaining water and blend again

  • Step 3: Pour into a pitcher and let sit, covered, overnight

  • Step 4: Pour rice mixture into a pitcher, through a fine mesh strainer.

  • Step 5: Discard rice

  • Step 6: Add remaining ingredients

  • Step 7: Stir before serving over ice
