  • 1 1/2 cup whipping cream, chilled
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cup cake flour
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees

  • Step 2: Grease and flour baking pan(s). 13x19x2, or two layer pans, 9 or 8 inch pans.

  • Step 3: In a chilled bowl beat cream until stiff

  • Step 4: Beat eggs until thick and lemon coloured

  • Step 5: Fold eggs and vanilla into whipped cream

  • Step 6: Stir together dry ingredients and gently fold into whipped cream mixture until blended

  • Step 7: Pour into pans

  • Step 8: Bake oblong 45 min and layers 30-35 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

  • Step 9: Frost with a frosting of choice. A whipped topping is particularly nice
