Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup water, warm
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Dissolve yeast in Warm water.

  • Step 2: Add 1/2 cup sugar, salt, eggs, egg yolk, butter and 2 cups flour. Mix till smooth

  • Step 3: Stir in remaining flour until smooth.

  • Step 4: Let rise till doubled.

  • Step 5: Stir down batter.

  • Step 6: Cover tightly and chill 8 hrs.

  • Step 7: Stir down batter and divide, keep one half chilled while you work on other half.

  • Step 8: Roll dough out, about 8 inches long, cut into 16 slices.

  • Step 9: Shape 12 slices into balls and place in greased muffin tins.

  • Step 10: Working very quickly with floured hands, flatten and make indentation in the center of each.

  • Step 11: Cut remaining strips into 3 equal parts and shape into small balls.

  • Step 12: Place small dough ball into the indentations.

  • Step 13: Repeat with other half of the dough.

  • Step 14: Let rise till double.

  • Step 15: Heat oven to 375.

  • Step 16: Beat egg whites with 1 tablespoon sugar and brush over rolls.

  • Step 17: Bake 15 to 20 min.
