Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • FOR DOUGH
  • 2 packages (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup water, warm
  • 1/2 cup milk, warm
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 4 1/2 to 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Marshmallows (18 large)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Dough: Dissolve yeast in Warm water.

  • Step 2: Add milk, sugar, salt, eggs, shortening and 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour. Mix till smooth.

  • Step 3: Add enough remaining dough to make dough easy to handle.

  • Step 4: Turn dough out onto a lightly floured, cloth covered surface and knead until smooth and elastic.

  • Step 5: Place dough in an oiled bowl, turning dough to coat in oil.

  • Step 6: Let rise, covered with a damp cloth, until doubled. approximately 1 hr.

  • Step 7: Punch down dough.

  • Step 8: Divide dough in half and roll each half about 1/4 inch thick.

  • Step 9: Cut into 3 1/2 inch circles.

  • Step 10: Mix cinnamon and sugar.

  • Step 11: Dip Marshmallows in butter and then cinnamon-sugar.

  • Step 12: Wrap each dough circle around a marshmallow, pinching to seal at bottom.

  • Step 13: Dip in butter, then in cinnamon sugar.

  • Step 14: Place in greased muffin tins.

  • Step 15: Let rise until double.

  • Step 16: Bake at 375 20-25 min.
