Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 package (55 grams) dry onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
  • 1 cup blue cheese (crumbled)
  • 1/3 cup pecan nuts (finely chopped, toasted)
  • 2 cups sour cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute onion in oil 5 minutes or until golden.

  • Step 2: Sprinkle soup mix over onion and stir in water, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and vinegar. Cook, stirring, 1 minute. Remove from heat and cool.

  • Step 3: Once cooled, pour into a medium bowl and add 3/4 cup blue cheese, 1/4 cup pecans and the sour cream, mix well.

  • Step 4: Cover and chill at least 30 min.

  • Step 5: To serve top with remaining blue cheese and pecans.

  • Step 6: Serve with chips, veggies or apple slices.
