Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 jar (26 ounce) pasta sauce (spaghetti sauce)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 pound beef sirloin (lean beef)
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausages (2 links, diced)
  • Italian seasoning
  • 2 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 tomato, whole (chopped)
  • 3/4 to 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup red wine

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute onion and garlic in oil until soft.

  • Step 2: Add meat and saute till browned. Drain fat.

  • Step 3: Add spaghetti sauce and let simmer a few minutes.

  • Step 4: Add seasonings to taste and continue to let simmer.

  • Step 5: Add carrots and simmer till carrots have softened slightly.

  • Step 6: Add green pepper, mushrooms and wine and simmer 15 minutes.
