Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest, cut into 12 strips
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest, cut into 12 strips
  • 12 ounces espresso
  • Rum extract

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.

  • Step 2: Add brown sugar and spices. Allow to cool (mixture can now be stored in the refrigerator till ready to use).

  • Step 3: To serve, place one teaspoon of the mixture in the bottom of a small espresso cup.

  • Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon cream, and 1 strip of both orange and lemon zest.

  • Step 5: Add 1 oz espresso and a tiny bit (less than 1/8 tsp) of rum extract.
