The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 cup basil (chopped and firmly-packed)
  • 2 cups red wine vinegar (1 pint)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash and pat dry the basil.

  • Step 2: Fill a wide-mouthed jar with the herbs.

  • Step 3: Add the vinegar to the jar.

  • Step 4: Cap jar and place in a warm spot out of direct light for at least 2 weeks.

  • Step 5: When the desired strength is reached, line a funnel with a coffee filter and pour the finished vinegar through the funnel into a pretty and appropriate bottle.
