Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound boneless chicken breasts (2 pieces, 6-8 ounces each)
  • 2 teaspoons crushed ginger
  • 2 teaspoons crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon red chili
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • 8 ounces yogurt (1 cup, beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut the Chicken into bite sized pieces and rub some turmeric and salt. Set aside.

  • Step 2: Heat oil in a skillet and add the chicken pieces.

  • Step 3: Saute until slightly golden and almost cooked.

  • Step 4: Add the crushed ginger and garlic. Saute for about a minute.

  • Step 5: Add turmeric, cumin, coriander, garam masala and red chili. Saute on medium heat until oil separates from the sides. Add the lemon juice.

  • Step 6: Beat the yogurt in a bowl. Take the skillet off the heat and mix the yogurt into the chicken.

  • Step 7: Bring it back on the heat and keep stirring the whole mixture until it comes to a boil. Reduce the heat and continue to cook for about 2 minutes. Garnish with coriander.

  • Step 8: Serve hot with rice or roti!
