Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cans (6 ounce) baby clams
  • 1/4 pound bacon (side bacon, coarsely chopped)
  • 1/4 pound bacon (peameal bacon, coarsely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup yellow onions, chopped
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 potato, finely diced
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a heavy saucepan, saute side and back bacon until almost crisp.

  • Step 2: Add celery and onion and cook just until limp.

  • Step 3: Add stock and potato.

  • Step 4: Cover and simmer about 10 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add clams and simmer about 10 minutes.

  • Step 6: Add milk and heat to just below the boiling point.

  • Step 7: Add salt and pepper to taste.
