Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef (you can also use ground turkey)
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 package (5.3 ounce) Steak Fajita Seasoned Rice Mix (I used Knorr Rice Sides)
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) tomatoes (chili ready tomatoes, original used plain diced tomatoes)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 can (16 ounce) red kidney beans (rinsed and drained, if you don't like kidney beans,use pintos, or even black beans)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat brown ground beef and onion(drain if needed).

  • Step 2: Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.

  • Step 3: Cover and reduce heat to low and simmer ,stirring occasionally.

  • Step 4: Cook for 10 minutes or until rice is tender.

  • Step 5: Serve with your favorite Mexican Style toppings.
