Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 cups mango, cubed
  • 1 cup apples, cubed
  • 1 cup raisins (white raisins, packed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 5 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped (extra large onion)
  • 2 cups brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (white)
  • 2 cups wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a Heavy pot, place all the ingredients-over medium high stir constantly until a boil is reached.

  • Step 2: Turn down the heat to low Medium/low so the mixture is constantly simmering-cook for 60 minutes - then taste and add more sugar if needed ( and simmer a bit more).

  • Step 3: Pour into sterilized jars , cap and place in a canner - boil for 15 minutes.
