Step 1: In a food processor combine first 6 ingredients (-garlic) and puree until smooth; set aside.
Step 2: Bring water to a boil in a large pan; add oil and salt and then add the pasta and cook until al dente; strain, reserving 1/3 cup liquid. Blend hot liquid into the puree and toss with the pasta.
Step 3: Serve with additional grated cheese.
