Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 9 cups popcorn (popped)
  • 1 cup nuts, mixed
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons butter rum extract (can use rum extract)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put popcorn and nuts in lightly greased large, rimmed pan.

  • Step 2: In medium saucepan, bring butter, sugar and corn syrup to a boil. Cook while stirring for 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Remove from heat. Stir in extract and baking soda.

  • Step 4: Pour over popcorn and nuts, stir well.

  • Step 5: Bake at 250º F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

  • Step 6: Spread on wax paper to cool. Then break into bite sized pieces.
