Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds cooked ham (smoked ham, shoulder cut off the bone into slices, or 2 pounds smoked ham shoulder cut off the bone into chunks, or 2 pounds chopped ham from the deli, cut into chunks)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons hot dog relish
  • 1 onion, sliced thin for sandwiches or 1 onion finely diced for rolls
  • Bread or rolls of your choice
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Grind the ham shoulder with a meat grinder. You can use a blender for this also, just make sure you don't put in too much in at a time. (If making rolls, grind the onions right in with the ham)

  • Step 2: Put ground meat in a bowl and add mayonnaise, mustard, and relish. Mix well.

  • Step 3: Chill until ready to make sandwiches or rolls.

  • Step 4: Making Sandwiches:

  • Step 5: When ready to make sandwiches, put a good amount of meat filling on the slice of bread.

  • Step 6: Add a slice of onion, or as much as you want. (I love making these with vidalia onions, they are so sweet).

  • Step 7: Put the top piece of bread on, and serve.

  • Step 8: Making Rolls For A Party:

  • Step 9: Stuff the rolls to your liking. Place on a large serving plate. Cover with plastic wrap. Chill until ready to serve.
