Step 1: In large skillet cook rice briefly in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown, taking care not to let it burn.
Step 2: Add salt, water, bouillon cube, and soy sauce.
Step 3: Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Step 4: Add other ingredients and cover tightly, simmer 10 minutes more.
Step 5: Add more water if needed but all water should be absorbed by the end of the cooking time. If it isn't, remove lid and let the liquid evaporate.
