Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 kilogram chicken wings (cut in half (discard tips or freeze for stock)
  • 1 red capsicum (cut into matchsticks)
  • 1 carrot, cut into matchsticks
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 tablespoon ginger root, minced
  • Bok choy (leaves separated, 1 bunch)
  • 2 green onion, cut into 5cm lengths
  • 1/4 cup kecap manis
  • 2 tablespoons water (warm)
  • 1 packet (440 gram) fresh hokkien noodles (blanched)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds (toasted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 220C/200C fan forced.

  • Step 2: Place chicken on an oven tray and spray with oil and bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until browned and cooked, depends on thickness of wings.

  • Step 3: Spray capsicum and carrot with oil.

  • Step 4: Heat wok or large frying pan over high heat and add the capsicum, carrot, garlic and ginger and stir fry for 2 minutes or until carrot is just tender and then add buk coy and onion and stir fry for 1 minute or until buk choy wilts and now add kecap manis and the warm water, toss for 1 minute or until heated.

  • Step 5: Add noodles and chicken to wok and stir fry for 1 minute or until combined and serve sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds.
