Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef (lean beef mince)
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 envelope (1/4 ounce) taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can (4 ounce) green chiles, chopped
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 86 grams baking mix (prepared biscuit mix, 3/4 cup)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce (hot pepper sauce)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Grease a 10 inch pie dish.

  • Step 3: In a skillet ove medium heat cook beef and onion together, stirring occasionally until beef is browned; draining off excess fat. Stir in seasoning mix and spread mixture in pie dish; sprinkle chiles and cheese over the beef mixture.

  • Step 4: In a blender or electric mixer combine remaining ingredients (milk - pepper sauce) and beat until smooth. Pour mixture over mixture in pie dish.

  • Step 5: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

  • Step 6: Garnish if desired with additional red or green chiles or shredded cheese.
