Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • FOR WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
  • 125 grams white chocolate
  • 60 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg, lightly whisked
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon gelatine
  • 150 ml thickened cream
  • FOR MILK CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
  • 125 grams milk chocolate
  • 60 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg, lightly whisked
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons gelatine
  • 150 ml thickened cream
  • Chocolate sponge cake (store bought, 500 grams, 2 layer, unfilled)
  • Edible decorations, eg chocolate stars to decorate
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt white chocolate and butter together in a small saucepan over low heat and then cool for 5 minutes and then whisk in the egg.

  • Step 2: Sprinkle gelatine over 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl and then stand in a bowl of boiled water and stir until dissolved and then cool and then stir into the chocolate mixture.

  • Step 3: Beat cream until thickened and then fold into chocolate.

  • Step 4: Repeat method in the same way for milk chocolate mousse.

  • Step 5: Cut chocolate cake to fit into base of your serving dishes and place a round of cake into each dish and then spoon over white chocolate mousse then milk chocolate mousse.

  • Step 6: Decorate with chocolate stars and dush with cocoa.
