The ingredients are:
  • FOR CAKE
  • 180 grams Bisquick Baking Mix (1 1/2 cups original Bisquick mix)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • FOR COCONUT TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 3 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoon milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • TO MAKE THE CAKE

  • Step 2: Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or 8-onch square pan. In a large bowl, beat Bisquick mix, sugar,milk, shortening, vanilla and egg with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.

  • Step 3: Beat on medium speed 4 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into prepared pan.

  • Step 4: Bake 30-35 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean; let cool slightly.

  • TO MAKE COCONUT TOPPING

  • Step 5: In a small bowl, mix coconut, brown sugar, nuts, butter and milk. Spread topping over cake. Set oven to broil. Broil about 3 inches from heat abut 3 minutes or until golden brown.
