Step 1: Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
Step 2: Combine kecap manis, ginger and 2 teaspoon of the sesame seeds in a bowl.
Step 3: Using a small, sharp knife make two cuts about 3cm long and 1 cm deep in the thicken part of each chicken drumstick and place the drumsticks on the prepared tray and season the crack pepper.
Step 4: Brush liberally with the marinade coating the drumsticks completely.
Step 5: Cover with plastic food wrap, then chill for 20 minutes to marinate.
Step 6: Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan forced and bake the drumsticks in the marinade for 45 minutes or until cooked through, using tongs to turn and baste with drumsticks every 10 minutes.
Step 7: On the last baste, sprinkle with remaining teaspoon of sesame seeds.
