  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth (low-sodium)
  • 2 cups milk (whole)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste (no more than 1 teaspoon salt)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large, heavy pot, heat butter over medium heat, add onion and saute until soft.

  • Step 2: Add mushrooms and garlic and saute until tender.

  • Step 4: Bring to a low boil, then stir in cream and simmer for 10 minutes.

  • Step 5: Puree in a blender, add more milk or broth if needed.
