Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound mushrooms (approx 16 large)
  • 1 box (120 gram) stuffing mix (Stove Top Stuffing Mix For Chicken)
  • 1 cup water (hot)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup red pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (or margarine, melted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat broiler.

  • Step 2: Mix together stuffing mix & hot water..Let it stand 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Remove stems from mushrooms, Chop stems.

  • Step 4: Cook caps top side in the pan with 3 tbsp butter or margerine.

  • Step 5: Cook until lightly browned. Arrange in an oven proof pan open side up.

  • Step 6: Add stems to fry pan, cook & stir until tender.

  • Step 7: Mix the stems with the stuffing mix.

  • Step 8: Fill caps with the stuffing.

  • Step 9: Drizzle with 2 tbsp butter or margerine.

  • Step 10: Broil 5-7 inches from the heat for 5 minutes or until heated through.
