Step 1: Heat oil in stock pot.
Step 2: Season meat with salt pepper and paprika, then brown pork all over. Remove then add in onions and garlic; brown.
Step 3: Add pork back in, then add the water and bay leaf.
Step 4: Cook roast for 3 hours. Drain fat off top.
Step 5: Add beans (may need more water and more salt and pepper).
Step 6: Cook slow until beans are done.
