  • 1 box (16 ounce) dry macaroni pasta (cooked drained)
  • 2 steaks (6 ounce) beef filet Mignon
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil (minced)
  • 1 garlic clove, smashed
  • 1 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 pound plum tomatoes (fresh, chopped)
  • 1 cup pasta sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup Romano cheese grated
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushroom
  • FOR TOPPING
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute onions and garlic in oil until limp.

  • Step 2: Add cubed steak; cook until just browned.

  • Step 3: Add mushrooms.

  • Step 4: Mix all ingredients but topping, pour into a 9 x13 casserole.

  • Step 5: Top with mozzarella.

  • Step 6: Bake 425 degrees for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
