  • 1 bag (16 ounce) dried black-eyed peas
  • 2 pounds yams (cubed 1 inch pieces)
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cubes (24 grams) chicken bouillon (can use veggie cubes if vegen)
  • 1 can (16 ounce) baby corn (drained added last 5 minutes)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (Achiote oil, annatto mixed in oil)

  • Step 1: Cook on low until beans and yams are soft for 6 hours on low may, you may need to add more water.
