Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 4 cups brewed coffee (strong)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup liqueur (hazelnut liqueur or amaretto, optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons caramel ice cream topping (caramel flavor)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a 4-quart slow cooker combine the first four ingredients (through pumpkin pie spice). Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. If desired, stir in liqueur.

  • Step 2: Serve immediately or keep warm, covered, on warm or low up to 2 hours.

  • Step 3: Top servings with caramel whipped topping and additional pumpkin pie spice and/or caramel topping.

  • FOR THE CARAMEL WHIPPED TOPPING

  • Step 4: In a chilled bowl beat cream and caramel topping with a mixer on medium until soft peaks form.

  • FOR EASY CLEANUP: Line your slow cooker with a disposable slow cooker liner. Add ingredients as directed in recipe. Once your dish is finished cooking, spoon the food out of your slow cooker and simply dispose of the liner. Do not lift or transport the disposable liner with food inside.

  • NOTE: Makes 11 servings, approximately 3/4 cups for each serving.
