Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper (more to season again at the end)
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 1/2 pound dry spaghetti
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (more for serving on plates)
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan pot heat the olive oil to medium-low heat. Add garlic, stir, allowing it to cook for 1-2 minutes. Mix in the butter until melted. Add the salt, pepper and chicken stock. Raise the heat to high and let it come to a boil.

  • Step 2: Once it is at a rolling boil, add pasta and cook for as long as the box’s directions indicate. Reduce the stove to medium heat. Mix in the parmesan cheese in the end. Season with more pepper if needed.

  • Step 3: Turn off the heat and stir in the cream and parsley. Serve immediately with more Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top of plates.
