Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces smoked salmon (lox, rough chopped)
  • 8 ounces creamed cheese (softened and room temperature)
  • 4 ounces sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mousse ... Add everything to a food processor; and, puree until smooth and creamy. Add the mousse to a pastry bag; or, I use a ziploc bag - and, refrigerate at least 2-3 hours to firm up.

  • Step 2: Now, it's ready to serve. If using a ziploc bag, simply cut one of the bottom corner tips off. Pipe or squeeze the mousse on your favorite vegetable or cracker. And, the toppings are up to you. Caviar, chopped olives, tomatoes, scallions, dill, etc., are all fun. My favorite is - to cut celery in 1" pieces and stuff with the mouse and chopped olives.

  • Step 3: Serve and ENJOY! ... As mentioned; this is a perfect 'make ahead' appetizer. It only takes a couple of minutes to top your crackers or vegetables. Note: If you really want to WOW your guests - top the mousse with a little caviar. Great for entertaining!
