Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 slices (8 ounces) rye bread
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons salad dressing (Russian dressing)
  • 8 slices roasted (8 ounces) turkey (or chicken)
  • 250 grams sauerkraut (1 cup)
  • 8 slices (8 ounces) Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Spread 4 slices of bread w/the mustard & 4 slices w/the Russian dressing.

  • Step 2: Dividing evenly, top the mustard-spread slices, layering as follows: Cheese, turkey, sauerkraut, turkey, cheese & the remaining bread.

  • Step 3: Heat the oil in a lrg skillet over med heat.

  • Step 4: Add the sandwiches & cook, pressing occasionally w/the back of a spatula until the bread is golden brown & crisp & the cheese is melted (3-4 min per side). Serve immediately.
