Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 350 grams ground beef (beef mince)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 chilli (fresh long red chilli, finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons oil (vegetable or peanut)
  • 1 red capsicum, thinly sliced
  • 150 grams mushrooms, thickly sliced (button)
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced, plus extra curls to serve (see intro)
  • 2 tablespoons kecap manis
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 pack (440 gram) fresh egg noodles
  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine mince, soy sauce, oyster sauce, chilli and garlic in a large glass bowl.

  • Step 2: Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat and add beef mixture, cook, stirring to break up lumps, for 6 minutes or until browned and then add capsicum, mushrooms and onion to pan and cook and stir for 2 minutes or until capsicum is tender.

  • Step 3: Add kecap manis, juice and sweet chilli sauce to mince mixture and cook and stir for 1 minutes or until heated and combined.

  • Step 4: Meanwhile, cook noodles in a saucepan of boiling salted water for 3 minutes or until tender and stir gently with a fork to separate stands, drain and then add sesame oil and toss to combine.

  • Step 5: Spoon noodles into serving bowls and top with mince mixture and garnish with green onion curls.
