Step 1: Place warm warm, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and yeast in mixer bowl- let sit 10 minutes until frothy.
Step 2: To the mixer bowl, add the warm milk, sugar, butter and salt, egg - whisk together.
Step 3: Using a dough hook, add the flour a little at a time until a soft dough is formed - knead until smooth and elastic.
Step 4: Place in a buttered bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let sit until doubled.
Step 5: Punch down, form into 8 balls, and place in buttered pan.
Step 6: Cover with plastic wrap and let rise again.
Step 7: Preheat the oven to 400F.
Step 8: Brush the rolls with the glaze and bake for 10-20 minutes, until golden.
Step 9: Remove from the oven and place on a rack and brush again with glaze.
Step 10: Let cool a bit but serve warm, with the honey butter
