Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 box (18.25 ounce) German chocolate cake mix (Betty Crocker)
  • 1 box (16 ounce) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened, use Philadelphia brand cream cheese only)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • TO SERVE WITH
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pour pecans and coconut into bottom of greased 9 x 13 cake pan.

  • Step 2: Prepare the cake per ingredients and directions on the box. Pour this over top of pecans and coconut.

  • Step 3: In a separate bowl, using an electric mixer, combine powdered sugar, soft butter, cream cheese, vanilla and whole milk together until smooth. Drizzle this mixture over top of cake mix (you don't need to mix it).

  • Step 4: Bake at 325 degrees in preheated oven for about 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until top of cake cracks.

  • Step 5: Serve with ice cream.
