Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 125 gram butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 2 large eggs, at rom temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (plain flour)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt, pinch of
  • 144 grams dried banana chips (chopped, 2/3 cup)
  • 1 cup milk
  • Eating chocolate, finely chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced.

  • Step 2: Line 2 oven trays with baking paper.

  • Step 3: Using an electric mixer beat butter and sugar in a bowl until pale and creamy and then add essence and then eggs, one by one, beating well after each addition.

  • Step 4: Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and stir flour mixture into butter mixture and then add banana and chocolate and stir to combine.

  • Step 5: Place 16 heaped tablespoons of cookie dough onto prepared trays, about 5cm apart, to allow for spreading.

  • Step 6: Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.

  • Step 7: Cool on trays till cookies are firm.
