  • 10 ounces semisweet chocolate (or bittersweet chocolate chunks)
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350-degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Step 2: Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  • Step 3: Cream the butter and both sugars together in a large mixing bowl. Beat the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla and lemon juice.

  • Step 4: Sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  • Step 5: Gradually stir it into the creamed mixture to make a smooth batter. Stir in the oats, chocolate, and walnuts until thoroughly incorporated.

  • Step 6: Drop the batter by 2 tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart on the lined baking sheets.

  • Step 7: Bake until cooked through in the center and light golden brown, 12 - 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
