Step 3: Cream the butter and both sugars together in a large mixing bowl. Beat the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla and lemon juice.
Step 4: Sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Step 5: Gradually stir it into the creamed mixture to make a smooth batter. Stir in the oats, chocolate, and walnuts until thoroughly incorporated.
Step 6: Drop the batter by 2 tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart on the lined baking sheets.
Step 7: Bake until cooked through in the center and light golden brown, 12 - 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
Step 8: Makes 3 dozen.
