Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1/2 pound ground pork (pork sausage would be a good substitute)
  • 3/4 cup chopped sweet onion
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sweet paprika
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 jar (16 ounce) salsa (Chef's choice of heat level)
  • 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (30 ounce) pinto beans, drained
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili powder (if you want it hotter,add more Chili powder)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat add ground beef,pork,and onions.

  • Step 2: Sprinkle with paprika and garlic powder mixing well,cook until meat is browned and onion is soft.

  • Step 3: Place meat/onion mixture in a 3 quart crockpot and add remaining ingredients and stir well.

  • Step 4: Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
