  • 960 grams coconut milk (4 cups)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 15 ounces whole kernel corn (sweet)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 5 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes (toasted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pour the coconut milk in a pot and bring to a boil. Add the sugar, condensed milk, and whole sweet kernel corn, then stir until all the ingredients are evenly distributed. Simmer for 10 minutes

  • Step 2: In a bowl, combine the fresh milk and cornstarch. Whisk until the cornstarch is dissolved. Pour the milk and cornstarch mixture in the pot and stir thoroughly. Allow to cook while stirring until the mixture reaches your desired thickness

  • Step 3: Pour the mixture in a rectangular dish, then smoothe the top with an offset spatula. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  • Step 4: Garnish with toasted grated coconut (or latik if available). Serve cold.
