Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 cup water (or half water and 1% milk)
  • 1 can (10.5 ounce) condensed cream of celery soup (undiluted)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage ( Polska Kielbasa, sliced into pieces)
  • 3/4 cup dry basmati rice
  • 10 ounces frozen green peas
  • 1 can (6.5 ounce) sliced mushrooms (drained)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, finely shredded (extra sharp cheddar cheese)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet, bring water, condensed soup and butter to a boil. Add Kielbasa and rice, stirring to combine. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.

  • Step 2: Stir in frozen peas and mushrooms, add salt and pepper; cover and continue to cook for 15 minutes more. Remove from heat, sprinkle with cheese and cover until it's melted. Serve immediately.
