Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese (softened)
  • 3/4 to 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (just a pinch)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 unbaked (8 inch) graham cracker crust (Honey Maid or another brand)
  • FOR TOPPING
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (21 ounce) cherry pie filling (or blueberry)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  • Step 2: Beat cream cheese till fluffy; gradually blend in 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and salt. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Pour filling into crust. Bake at 325 for about 35 minutes or till set.

  • TO MAKE THE TOPPING

  • Step 3: Combine sour cream, 3 tablespoons of sugar and vanilla, then spoon over top of pie. Bake 10 minutes longer. Cool. Chill for at least 6 hours or longer is better. Top individual slices with fruit pie filling.
