Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound lean ground pork
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 4 slices (4 ounce) processed cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa (medium hot, or your liking mild or hot)
  • Onion slices (4 slices sweet onion)
  • Lettuce leaves (4 leaves)
  • 4 (5 ounces) bread buns (burger buns, toasted on the inside)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Gently mix together the pork, cumin, oregano, seasoned salt, chili powder.

  • Step 2: Form into 4 patties 1/2 inch thick.

  • Step 3: Season with salt & pepper.

  • Step 4: Fry patties on a lightly oiled skillet over medium high heat. Flip after apprx 6 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add a slice of cheese to each pattie about 2 minutes before finished cooking.

  • Step 6: Cover pan with a lid.

  • Step 7: Place a pattie on each toasted bun,add salsa, onion slice & lettuce.
