Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 large (32 ounces) potatoes (large cooking potatoes, in skin)
  • 3 large eggs (hard boiled, sliced)
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter (and more for greasing the pan)
  • Salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil potatoes until cooked- let cool.

  • Step 2: Preheat the oven to 350F.

  • Step 3: Grease a casserole dish with butter.

  • Step 4: Peel and slice potatoes 1/4" thick.

  • Step 5: Put 2 layers potatoes on bottom, 1/2 pt sour cream, egg slices, salt- dot with 2 Tb butter.

  • Step 6: Continue layering potatoes, eggs until used up.

  • Step 7: Put remaining sour cream on top, sprinkle with more salt, dot with 2 Tb remaining butter.

  • Step 8: Cover and bake for about 1 hour or until the top turns reddish brown.
