Step 1: Boil potatoes until cooked- let cool.
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 350F.
Step 3: Grease a casserole dish with butter.
Step 4: Peel and slice potatoes 1/4" thick.
Step 5: Put 2 layers potatoes on bottom, 1/2 pt sour cream, egg slices, salt- dot with 2 Tb butter.
Step 6: Continue layering potatoes, eggs until used up.
Step 7: Put remaining sour cream on top, sprinkle with more salt, dot with 2 Tb remaining butter.
Step 8: Cover and bake for about 1 hour or until the top turns reddish brown.
