  • 1 pound carrots (baby carrots)
  • 2 ounces sliced bacon (2 strips diced)
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place carrots in a small saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 7-9 minutes or until tender.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, in a small skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels; drain,

  • Step 3: Reserving 2 tablespoons drippings.

  • Step 4: Saute onion in the drippings and stir in brown sugar and pepper until brown sugar is melted.

  • Step 5: Drain carrots; toss with onion mixture. Toss with bacon.
