Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 250 grams dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules (or one espresso shot from your machine)
  • 125 grams unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Cocoa powder, extra

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a small bowl set over a pot of hot water, combine the chocolate, cream and coffee and allow to melt (this can also be done in the microwave on medium power).

  • Step 2: Add the softened butter, cocoa powder, the brandy and vanilla and mix well and the chill until the mix firms up.

  • Step 3: Shape spoonfulls of the mixture with your hands and roll in the cocoa powder.

  • Step 4: Serve in small chocolate paper cases or piled into a pyramid.
