Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 avocado (med to lrg size, ripe)
  • 1 lemon (juice & zest of)
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted & slightly cooled)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Tabasco (added in drops to taste)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt the butter & set aside to cool slightly.

  • Step 2: Halve the avocado, remove the seed & spoon the avocado pulp into a food proc, blender or wide-mouth jar (See Note). Add the lemon juice plus hot water & blend until smooth. Continue to blend as you add the olive oil & butter.

  • Step 3: Taste for flavor & textural consistency. May add 1 extra tbsp of water as needed. Then add salt, pepper & Tabasco to taste. Stir lemon zest into mixture & use immediately or store in the refrigerator for later use.

  • NOTE: I have a wide-mouth jar w/a lid that I use often for recipes like this & then I reach for my trusty hand-held blender so I can get the job done easily & use the jar for storage
