Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves (chiffonade)
  • 1 lemon, whole (lemon zest from 1 whole lemon)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Cayenne pepper (small pinch)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt butter in the skillet. Add garlic and cook stirring constantly about 1-2 minutes.

  • Step 2: Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan, basil and lemon zest; season with salt, pepper and cayenne to taste. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
