Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 4 ounces Vidalia onion (1/2 onion, cut into 4 rounds that are 3/4 inch thick)
  • 252 grams pineapple slices (4 slices, 1/2 inch thick slices)
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat grill to medium.

  • Step 2: In a bowl combine the first 5 ingredients (-garlic). Shape into 4 patties, spray patties on both sides with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Step 3: Spray onion rounds with nonstick spray. Place patties and onions on the grill and cook turning once until burgers are done and onion is lightly charred (8-10 minutes).

  • Step 4: Spray pineapple slices on both sides with nonstick cooking spray and grill turning once until lightly charred (under 5 minutes).

  • Step 5: Place burgers on plates, topping each burger with 1 pineapple slice and 1 onion slice, separated into rings. Sprinkle with cilantro if using.
