Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 large eggs (peeled, hard boiled)
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (white cheddar)
  • 1/3 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F.

  • Step 2: Move 1 oven rack to top (broiling) spot in oven.

  • Step 3: Place butter in large shallow casserole dish and place in oven to melt while oven is preheating, about 3 minutes; remove from oven and swirl butter to coat dish.

  • Step 4: Slice eggs into 6-8 slices. (Use an inexpensive egg slicer if available).

  • Step 5: Starting in center of buttered casserole dish, place egg slices in overlapping pattern arranging out toward edge of dish. Sprinkle with pepper.

  • Step 6: Sprinkle with cheese.

  • Step 7: Drizzle milk over top of eggs and cheese.

  • Step 8: Place in oven on a middle rack.

  • Step 9: Bake for 5 minutes. Remove dish and turn on broiler to high.

  • Step 10: Place dish on top oven rack and broil for 2-3 minutes until lightly brown.

  • Step 11: Watch carefully to avoid burning!

  • Step 12: Sprinkle with parsley
