Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces dry egg noodles (wide)
  • 8 ounces Italian sausage links (casings removed, use spicy)
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce each) diced tomatoes (Hunt's tomatoes with basil, garlic & oregano, undrained)
  • 1/4 cup basil pesto (prepared)
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream (I added it)
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook noodles according to package directions, omitting salt.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, cook sausage and onion together in large skillet over medium heat until crumbled and no longer pink, stirring occasionally. Stir in undrained tomatoes and pesto; cook over medium-low heat for about 20-22 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 3: Drain noodles then add sausage mixture; toss to combine. Add salt and pepper.
