Step 1: In a pot, add water, bouillon cubes, onion powder,ginger and turmeric. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add rice; cover and return to stove and simmer on low heat till all water is absorbed.
Step 2: Once all water has been absorbed remove pot from stove and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Fluff rice with a fork and add nuts, raisins, and chopped chives.
