Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups water (hot)
  • 2 (4 grams) chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 225 grams dry rice (1 cup dry long grain rice)
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins (golden)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, smashed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a pot, add water, bouillon cubes, onion powder,ginger and turmeric. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add rice; cover and return to stove and simmer on low heat till all water is absorbed.

  • Step 2: Once all water has been absorbed remove pot from stove and let sit covered for 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Fluff rice with a fork and add nuts, raisins, and chopped chives.
